How To Find A Profitable Niche

One of my clients is fairly new to affiliate marketing and he asked me a very interesting question the other that I have received many times before. Instead of replying to his email personally, I thought I would put it up as a post so everyone can benefit. He wanted to know how to find a profitable niche for affiliate marketing because he was having a tough time deciding on one.

I have a lot of niche websites that are spread across various categories and sub-categories. So based on my success, I’m going to share some niches which will definitely earn you high commissions.

1. Evergreen Niches – Health, Money, and Relationships

When I build a new niche website, I always ask myself whether the niche I’m choosing is evergreen. By this I mean, will they still be profitable five or 10 years from now.

• The health niche can be weight loss, eating plans, medical issues or embarrassing conditions. I own a niche website that focuses on natural health remedies and does very well in earning me a nice commission each month.
• The money or finance niche is another profitable niche that will always be evergreen. This can include internet marketing, offering solutions to financial problems, affiliate marketing and so on.
• The relationship or romance niche is another booming niche. This can include online dating, relationship advice, finding a spouse and so forth.

The three niche markets I have provided can further be broken down into sub-categories or sub-niches. The reason why these do well is because people are looking for solutions to their problems. They looking how to live a healthy life, they looking how to make an extra income online and they looking for ways to find love.

There are so many affiliate products online which you can promote on your site. Making money online is not rocket science and your earning potential depends on how much effort you are willing to put in, and of course, the niche you decide to choose.

2. Finding A Niche Related to Hobbies and Activities

This is one niche I have done very well in, especially over the holiday period I tend to see a huge spike in sales and commissions.

If someone has a hobby they love, they won’t care how much they spend. These are the people you want to target with your niche site. Think of expensive hobbies like golf, DJing, drones, cars, scuba diving, and the list is endless.

People are always looking to take their hobby to the next level. They willing to spend thousands on equipment, gear, and training to satisfy their passion. Again, there are so many sub-niches you can explore in the hobbies niche. There are millions of affiliate products you can promote.

3. Choosing Affiliate Products that Pay High Commissions

A lot of high paying niche websites include yacht rentals, private jet charter, jewelry such as designer watches and bags and the list goes on.

It takes the same effort to promote a $10 product as it does a private yacht program which pays thousands of dollars in commissions.

The great thing that high-value products also have is a low refund rate. This is because people don’t make hasty decisions when spending thousands on a product or service. People who buy luxury or designer products or services don’t have financial problems, so high paying niches are definitely a good way to go to earn some great commissions.

Conclusion

The evergreen niches of health, money, and relationships will always be profitable as people always need solutions to their problems and are willing to pay if they need a product or service that will solve their problem.

Everybody has at least one hobby or passion that they will never give up. People will also be looking for the latest equipment or gear to make them better at their chosen hobby, so this is definitely a niche market you could tap into.

Having niche websites that promote high-end products will always be profitable since there will also be wealthy people looking for expensive products such as a yacht or people looking to try online gambling.

So there isn’t one niche that is the most profitable for affiliate marketing; however if you want to make an attractive commission then choose any of these three niche types.
